lake shark!

A dude found a prehistoric fossilized shark tooth in the St Clair river. on the subject Michigan State University paleontologist Michael Gottfried says “I can’t say just how it came to be in the St. Clair River, but I can assure you that there aren’t any sharks with 3-inch teeth living there now.” He does not rule out smaller sharks, tho. look out Great Lakes swimmers! LAKE SHARK!

slow morning.

'i love staurdays...' graham thought dreamily as the morning light poured through his window. on any given weekday he'd have been at work for a few hours by now. whenever now is.

rolling over he admires his young bride. he smiles broadly and throws his arm around her and slides in close and whispers his love in her ear. she smiles and turns enough to see him.

"good morning, husband" she says as if nothing matters but what is in the room. they lay in each other's arms, basking dreamily in the not so early morning light streaming in the window. after a half hour, perhaps an hour, of this, helen proposed that they make some breakfast.

"let's do it!" graham replied and slipped out of bed, threw on some sweat pants and bounded from the room in what was nearly a singular movement.

by the time helen caught up he already had a mixture of potatoes and onions cooking up in a big frying pan and was sprinkling seasonings on top. she popped open the carton of eggs and began whisking up the base of what would become omelets. they stirred and flipped and kissed and cooked and touched and sipped coffee and ultimately sat down to a breakfast feast.

with full bellies they dropped onto the couch and put the TV on and just enjoyed each others company. as they digested the moved closer, began to hold hands, arms slowly entangled like two trees growing into one. he touched her breast as she kissed his face and they melted into each other for a long moment of real bliss to top off the morning.

with a look of hazy joy on his face, graham opened the window and allowed the spring air to cool their naked bodies as they lay contentedly in on another's arms. the chirping of the birds and the chattering of the squirrels prodded the young couple to join them outside.

"lets go for a hike" helen spoke softly and she rose up from the bed.

"lets" was grahams reply as he grinned and watched helen put on his button down shirt from the day before and slipped on a long and flowing skirt. 'i'm the luckiest man on earth' he thought as he watched her tie up her hair in a loose pony tail and admired her form.

"i thought we were going out" she said with a playfully accusing look, interrupting his admiration of her beauty. he grinned wider still and she took his hand and pulled him off the bed. he pulled on a faithful pair of old jeans and slipped into the tee she handed him. she filled a bottle with water as he tied his shoes. they stepped out the door into the fresh spring noon and walked toward the forest as he put his arm around her shoulders.

hello!

okay, so for better or worse this is going to be the landing pad for those thoughts that are not op/ed or politically related. that will still be found on the modern day mountebank.

i have some stuff thats in the works that will be posted at some point. i probably wont be posting as much here as i find this type of writing requires more time and polishing than it does for me to tell you what to think on various issues.

heres hoping that this doesnt suck!
